Our office was founded by J?rg Schlaich and Rudolf Bergermann. Both of them and other sbp partners are world-renowned civil and structural engineers. As influential leaders in German and global architectural history they are famous to the world for designing“light structures” to perfectly express the “lightness” of buildings. Mr. J?rgSchlaich, as the representative of “High-tech Architecture”, was awarded the highest German architecture honor --Mies van der Rohe Award and also numerous awards in civil and structural engineering. The spoke wheel - prestress cable ring system is its most famous and applicable one. This system has been applied to more than 40 stadiums in the world, including Foshan Stadium, Shenzhen Bao’An Stadium, Suzhou Stadium and Haikou Stadium. Another outstanding invention is cable-net fa?ade system which was first applied to Kempinski Hotel, Germany in1980s by Mr. Schlaich. The excellent structural performance and marvelous architectural effect of this system was shocking at that time and became a new highlight of the architectural form, and rapidly became popular in the world.

partner (sbp) entered China market 20 years ago. As the first sbp works in
China, Ting Kau Bridge, Hong Kong was selected as “the most beautiful bridge in
the 20th century” by International Association of Bridges and Engineering. In
addition, Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center was awarded “China Steel Structure
Design Gold Award”. Shanghai Dianpu Bridge is another sbp project that has been completed. All of our works including those that have been completed or
still in the constructing or designing stage, are adhering to the same design
principle that sbp has been insisting. We strive to pursue innovation and
development in every project and try to combine “German engineering” with
actual China condition. Pursuing the spirit of uniqueness, innovation, development and
